This event is composed by several sessions. In each session, you are introduced to different ways of finding sources in which you can use to benefit your research paper. Attending compcon helps you develop better writing skills and fix any issues you have with your writing techniques. Throughout these sessions you are able to meet professors, librarians or instructors who can help guide you towards finding your writing style and other FYC students who also have the same questions as you. These presenters provide helpful information about how to use appropriate sources in your research papers and how to use databases to find those important sources that you could use for evidence, if needed. The instructors help guide you on specific ways to make your writing better. For example, how to catch your audience's attention or gather appropriate questions to ask someone when interviewing and how to properly apply the responses into your research paper.
